Businesses and Real Estate
Information about corporations and other businesses, as well as real estate taxassessment records can be viewed by visiting the website of the Maryland Department of Assessments and Taxation (SDAT) at http://www.dat.state.md.us/
Please note: In our experience, information on the SDAT website is not always up to date and current. Also, real estate information found in assessments records is not at all equivilent to a search and examination of title -- the SDAT records may or may not be an accurate reflection of who owns a given parcel of land. Nonetheless, the records maintained by the SDAT can be a useful tool.
